“Cannibal Culture” is a song that deals with the volatile nature of political discourse in our current times. It is not intended as an endorsement, nor a direct criticism, of any specific political or social ideology.

The members of Event Horizon come from various different political affiliations, spiritual beliefs, and ethnic backgrounds. We are united together by our shared love of music. We hope you enjoy this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

A new age of technology
Demands a new theology
A whole new god to guide us all
And so we beckon to its call

An ideological house of prayer
A new decree we now declare
Politics is our new religion
And this is a holy war

In corruption, sheltered souls seek refuge in blindness

The elephant father and donkey son
The holy spirit of extremist ones
New sacred idols erected high
Of primal fears and moral lies

We are the ones that bring our hate
We will be those who dominate
We cast our stones at those who sin
This war of cultures we will win
In madness, comes malice

The righteous army marches on
Through the night without a dawn
The sky grows blacker with their rage
Hallowed violence on they wage

Empowerment through victimhood
Information through falsehoods
Social cannibals scream and cry
Gluttonous parasites who feed us lies

Banners raised and torches drawn
Fires burning four-fifty-one
Eyes drawn towards lucent frames
Possessed to play their feeding games

In the face of solitude
Is where resentment and hatred brews
The only way to end discord
Is find the leeches and cut their cords
